Case Study: On The Menu

TIMES SQUARE STUNT

STRATEGY

Create a BIG and buzz worthy stunt around the premiere of TNT’s cooking competition show, On The Menu, to generate interest from consumers and press. Idea needed to have legs and reach consumers nationwide.
Also leverage hosts Emeril Lagasse and Ty Pennington.

ACTIVATION

On The Menu hosted a live cooking demo in the heart of Times Square.

• 300+home cooks followed along as Emeril made a seasonal pumpkin pancake 
recipe.

• Guinness World Records was on hand to award TNT for the tallest pancake stack.

• Good Morning America (5.6 MM daily viewers) streamed live from the event and provided a total of 7 minutes of on-air promotion for the show. This includes the 8am show open, Robin Roberts/social square hit, Ginger Zee’s weather report and the GMA anchor team on stage for show close.
